The beginning of Hard Rock

In the 70’s, in London, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton were two American friends who longed to hang out in a relaxed place where they could enjoy good music and American food, without any complications. Since they didn&39;t find a place with those characteristics, on June 14, 1971 they founded their own cafe in the bowels of the famous Hyde Park neighborhood, which they named: Hard Rock Cafe.

Now, in addition to the cafés, there are other complexes linked to the brand such as hotels, and right in Guadalajara, it is located the first Hard Rock city hotel.

Due to its unique characteristics, Hard Rock Cafe achieved great popularity in a short time, becoming the meeting point of celebrities and music stars locally.
It is worth mentioning that several of the characteristics that are currently part of the essence of the brand, such as memorabilia, have emerged over time. For example, on one occasion the famous guitarist Erick Clapton, tired of having to wait in long lines to enter the cafe, decided to donate one of his guitars to the founders so that it could be placed on top of his favorite seat and in this way reserve it symbolically.
Weeks later Peter Townshend, guitarist for the group The Who, sent one of his, claiming his guitar was "as good" as Eric&39;s”. This action was the beginning of the largest collection of memorabilia in the world, made up of more than 74,000 pieces of costume and instruments by musical artists of all genres and places in the world.

Imagine we&39;re back in the 70&39;s in London, tell us which artist would you have loved to meet?
